Recruiter Spotlight: Meet Perry Griffin

When you work with Tribal Health, you’re not just a name working with a faceless company. We want you to feel fulfilled and supported at every step of your journey in Indigenous healthcare. That’s why you’ll have a dedicated recruiter who focuses on your personal and professional preferences, to make sure you’re happy on assignment. And maybe we’re biased, but we believe Tribal Health has the best recruiters in the industry – caring, knowledgeable, tenacious, and committed to helping every clinician reach their goals. So we thought you might want to get to know them better.

This month we’re focusing on Perry Griffin, from Oklahoma. Perry launched his recruiting career just last year, but he’s a rising star who’s already become the favorite of many a nurse. After working with him, Dawn Hawk-Slaughter, RN, said, “This was my first travel RN assignment and Perry was so helpful in getting me through all the paperwork. He’s very easy to talk to and contact – and he was very attentive to all my questions.”

Here are a few facts about Perry.

Perry, what’s your favorite part of recruiting?

“I love that we get to place incredible medical providers in underserved communities that greatly need good healthcare.”

And how would you describe your recruiting focus?

“I place all types of clinicians in all of our facilities across the country. As a recruiter you are tasked with splitting your focus and doing your best to place the right provider in the right role in the right facility.”

How about your recruiting philosophy?

“I try to take my time and really listen to what our potential providers are wanting to accomplish. Then I work feverishly to place them in a facility where their talents can really make a difference.”

If you were going out on assignment, what would be your dream location?

“Neah Bay, Washington. The remote PNW shoreline is stunningly beautiful.”

What are your favorite hobbies and interests?

“Golf and motorcycles!  I try to get out on the course a couple of times a month and try to get on two wheels (occasionally just one) as often as the weather allows.”

When you’re not at work, you are…

“Enjoying my beautiful family.  We try to go on adventures as often as possible.  I am a very lucky man.  My two little girls and my amazing significant other are continuous sources of inspiration and joy.”

Something that might surprise others about you is…

“In my younger years, I was a stuntman for TV and film. I have been on fire, and thrown out of planes, windows, and cars.”

He’s not exaggerating. Here’s Perry in a fiery commercial he did when he was 20 – and another as a “high fall specialist.”
