Something momentous happened on May 19 – the U.S Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, named Tribal Health as the Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year.
The award honors a small business that has excelled during the previous fiscal year in the performance of an HHS contract while helping an HHS OpDiv/StaffDiv achieve its mission. To put this in context, HHS has $9 billion in small business contracts – and Tribal Health was selected above all of them, across every industry.
HHS recognized Tribal Health during the 2022 Small Business National Virtual Conference, at the OSDBU Excellence Awards Ceremony.
This award is due in large part to our incredible front-line staff. It’s their dedication and expertise that have helped transform patient outcomes in Indian Health Service (IHS) and 638 facilities in Tribal nations. Thank you for joining our mission to transform Indigenous healthcare!
