ED RN

RN - Emergency Medicine

    • 12 hour shifts Schedule is rotating 36 & 48 hour weeks
    • 7 shifts per 2 week period / 14 shifts per month
    • Weekends, holidays
  • Call
    • The facility is requesting this from contract staff moving forward. Heres some detail on the call schedule (seems to be very minimum): – We would be looking at the ED & IPD doing one night call per two week schedule so 1 night out of 14.
    • There would be a weekend call in there which is a Fri and Sat night, this would happen maybe about every 8 pay periods so about once a contract in terms of weeks.
    • M-F call is from 1600-0700 – Sat and Sun is from 1900-0700
  • Qualifications
    • Any State License
    • BLS, ACLS, PALS,
    • Experience: The RN must have a minimum of 1 year experience in ED setting
  • Specialty

    • FL & PR — must have proof of NCLEX completion.
  • Certifications required
    • BLS
    • ACLS
    • PALS
    • TNCC or ATCN
    • NRP – can be completed within 60 days of starting onsite.
    • ENPC – can be completed within 60 days of starting onsite.
  • Experience requirements
    • 6 months in ED setting within past 24 months
  • COVID vaccine required
    • Yes. No exemptions will be considered.
  • Weekly schedule
    • Rotating 36 / 48 hours weekly
    • Flexibility for block scheduling, etc.
  • Ages seen
    • All ages
  • Patient volume per day
    • Anticipating 60-80 patients per 24 hours. TBD.
  • Credentialing requirements
    • Facility HR forms and internal clearance.
  • Clearance timeframe
    • 2-3 weeks.
  • Support staff
    • 2 providers concurrently during most / all hours = 1 physician & 1 mid-level on staff during day and night shifts
    • Perm CNAs and MSAs being recruited by facility
  • Housing
    • Onsite housing units are available.
  • ED Description
    • Level 3 Emergency Department (ED) at the newly constructed Dilkon Medical Center (DMC), located on the Navajo Nation in Dilkon, Navajo County, Arizona. Will deliver a broad range of ambulatory and inpatient medical services; including but not limited to: Primary Care; Optometry; Dental; Podiatry; Diagnostic Imaging and CT; Laboratory with blood banking; Pharmacy; Physical Therapy; Behavioral Health; and full ancillary support services and a full-service cafeteria. DMC plans to have the 24/7 ED open by August 7th, 2023, with implementation of a 12-bed inpatient care unit to follow some months later. The DMC ED will be approximately 7,000 square feet, with 12 exam and procedure rooms, and an anticipated volume of 60-80 patient visits per 24 hours.
