- Duties
- outpatient medication distribution, refill processing, patient counseling and pharmacy services for the emergency department
- Clinical pharmacists responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: patient therapeutic consultations, consultations with ordering providers, patient medication therapy monitoring, direct patient medication therapy, processing & dispensing of new medication prescriptions and refill medications.
- Participate in Prescription Monitoring Program
- Interpret and fill all medication as ordered by Provider submitted as by computerized provider order entry (CPOE), handwritten authorized prescriptions, faxed, or phoned into the pharmacy.
- Oversee the stocking and replenishment of automated dispensing cabinets.
- Screen for, review and document any outside medications or allergic reactions within the patient's medical record.

- utilize DMC’s pharmacy software system(s) which incorporates robotic dispensing within a flexible and efficient workflow system that includes script scanning, counting, verification, tele-pharmacy , and electronic signature. Software includes, but not limited to, Parata for filling/checking, PickPoint for bagging/dispensing, and qFlow for routing.

- Level 3 Emergency Department (ED) at the newly constructed Dilkon Medical Center (DMC), located on the Navajo Nation in Dilkon, Navajo County, Arizona. Will deliver a broad range of ambulatory and inpatient medical services; including but not limited to: Primary Care; Optometry; Dental; Podiatry; Diagnostic Imaging and CT; Laboratory with blood banking; Pharmacy; Physical Therapy; Behavioral Health; and full ancillary support services and a full-service cafeteria. DMC plans to have the 24/7 ED open by August 7th, 2023, with implementation of a 12-bed inpatient care unit to follow some months later. The DMC ED will be approximately 7,000 square feet, with 12 exam and procedure rooms, and an anticipated volume of 60-80 patient visits per 24 hours.
