Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner

Summary

Specialty: Women's Health Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner with a focus on women's health

Licensure: South Dakota license required; DEA license preferred

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS mandatory

Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1 year of experience; must be proficient in:

  • Nexplanon insertions
  • IUD placements
  • Colposcopies

Other Requirements:

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting non-stress tests (NSTs)
  • COVID-19 vaccination is required (waivers considered with proper documentation).

Schedule:

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with a 30-minute lunch
  • Closed on Federal holidays

Patient Volume: 12–16 patients/day

Credentialing and Commitment:

  • Credentialing start: ASAP
  • Initial commitment: 3–6 months

Support Staff:

  • 1 Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
  • 1 Primary Care RN (Tribal Health staff)

EHR System: RPMS
