Job Summary: The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for un'ina (customer) assessment; evaluation; diagnosis, in consultation with the provider; plan of care; and evidence-based intervention. The OT will assist un'ina who have an injury, illness, or de-conditioned state to improve their quality of life, manage their pain, and contribute to their overall wellness.

Patient Demographics: Primarily serving Alaska Native/American Indian people
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Master of Occupational Therapy Degree
- Two years' experience in occupational therapy evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment
- Experience with computerized management information systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR, Part 2 regulations
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Licensure:
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in Alaska, or obtained within three months of hire
- State of Alaska Driver's License and remain insurable under the Tribe's policy
Certifications:
- CPR and AED certification required
Responsibilities:
- Assess and interpret evaluations and test results
- Determine plans of care in collaboration with the integrated care team
- Manage individualized goal-directed Occupational Therapy care
- Implement, supervise, and modify therapy plans of care
- Collaborate with other team members in an integrated model of care
- Ensure appropriate medical equipment is arranged
- Document client encounter findings and treatments
- Obtain client informed consent for proposed interventions
- Develop and conduct in-service training programs
- Participate in continuous quality improvement processes
Support Staff:
The Occupational Therapist works as part of an integrated care team, collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
