Job Summary: Provide patient care services to the surrounding community, within a collaborative team environment focused on the Patient Centered Medical Home Model (PCMH). Perform examinations, diagnose, treat, and help prevent diseases and injuries that commonly occur in the surrounding community. May refer patients to specialists when needed for further diagnosis or treatment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical exams and evaluate symptoms to diagnose and treat illnesses.
  • Collect and maintain patient information.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Perform minor procedures and treat skin conditions.
  • Provide prenatal and childbirth care.
  • Prescribe treatments and medications.
  • Explain procedures and discuss results with patients and families.
  • Refer patients to specialists when needed.
  • Coordinate treatment plans with other healthcare providers.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary.
  • Advise on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • Train and assist healthcare professionals.
  • Provide clinical advice for community health programs.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare protocols and legal requirements.
  • Conduct medical research and stay updated on medical developments.
  • Contribute to service quality by improving policies and procedures.

Compensation:

  • Salary: $100,000 – $160,000 (DOE)
  • Sign-On Bonus: Variable
  • Relocation: $10,000 – $15,000 (variable)

Schedule: Full-time 4 day or 5-day work week

Setting: Community Healthcare Center

Patient Demographics: All Ages (8-12 Patients per day)

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Completion of Nursing program with clinical rotation including Primary Care, Family Practice, Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine.
  • Master of Science Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
  • Current, active, full and unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner from any U.S. state or the District of Columbia.
  • Current DEA License.
  • Current New Mexico Controlled Substance Registration
  • Current ACLS/PALS certification.
