Summary:
The Dentist provides comprehensive dental care and oversees the dental department operations under the supervision of the Dental Director. This role includes clinical duties, staff supervision, compliance oversight, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver general dental services including endodontics, prosthetics, periodontics, oral surgery, restorative care, and emergency treatment
- Develop and implement dental program policies and procedures
- Supervise and train dental staff including hygienists, assistants, and receptionists
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, State, and Federal regulations
- Maintain safety and infection control standards
- Stay current with dental techniques and participate in quality improvement programs
- Attend staff meetings and assume Dental Director responsibilities when needed
- Complete required reports and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:
- DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
- Licensed to practice in California
- Current CPR and DEA certification
- Valid unrestricted California driver’s license (must be insurable)
- Minimum two years of experience in private or clinical practice
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Must complete post-offer requirements: CPR/BLS certification, TB test, annual flu shot (during flu season); Hepatitis B vaccine offered but not required
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday from 8AM-5PM
