Job Summary: The MD/DO provides comprehensive medical services within the scope of their training, including diagnosis, treatment, and supervision of patient care. The physician ensures care adheres to state and federal regulations and is sensitive to the cultural and community needs of the population served.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including examinations, diagnoses, and treatments
- Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests
- Refer patients to specialists when necessary
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with billing, regulatory, and accreditation requirements
- Supervise mid-level providers (Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants)
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers and support staff
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans and preventive care
- Engage in ongoing professional development
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Engage in community outreach efforts and healthcare education
Compensation:
· Salary: $243,000.00 – $274,000.00
· Sign on Bonus: $6000

Schedule:
· Tuesday-Friday 7-6 or Monday – Friday 8-5
Setting:
· Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), providing primary care services to both Native and non-Native community members.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
- Completion of residency program in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in specialty
- Valid California medical license
- DEA certification
- BLS certification
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation
- Must have a vehicle, valid California driver's license (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire), and vehicle insurance
- Physical requirements include the ability to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods, lift up to 30 pounds, and perform repetitive motions
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires walking, standing and sitting for prolonged periods of time; climbing stepstools, etc., stooping, kneeling, crouching and reaching; pushing, pulling and lifting up to 30 pounds; raising objects overhead; manual dexterity for operation of computer, phones and small office machines; hearing, talking and good verbal and written communication skills; repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and fingers.
