Job Title: Cardiologist — Invasive (non-interventional)
Location: Anchorage, Alaska
Department: Cardiology
Employment Status: Full Time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient management and inpatient consults
- Handle advanced disease and challenging pathologies, including advanced valvular disease
- Conduct telemedicine consults using AFHCAN telemedicine
- Manage patients at rural outreach clinics throughout Alaska
- Participate in rural community visits 5-6 times per year
Qualifications
- Completion of an ACGME/AOA residency in Internal Medicine
- Fellowship in Cardiology
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Cardiology
- Any state license accepted

- Expertise in invasive (non-interventional) cardiology procedures and treatments
- Strong patient management skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Cultural sensitivity to work with Alaska Native and American Indian populations
- Adaptability to work in various clinical settings, including telemedicine and rural outreach
Working Conditions
- Work setting: Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC), a Level II Trauma Center
- Travel required for rural community visits (2-3 days, 5-6 times per year)
- 10.5 weeks of call required

- Salary: $800,000 base + $100,000 incentive plan
