Job Title: Rheumatologist

Key Responsibilities
Manage outpatients in clinic
Provide consults for adult inpatients
Perform joint injections and aspirations
Conduct bedside MSK ultrasound
Participate in six field clinics per year to other regions of Alaska
See 8-14 patients in office per day
Qualifications
MD or DO degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
Valid medical license
Skills and Attributes
Expertise in rheumatological procedures and treatments
Strong patient management skills
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Cultural sensitivity to work with Alaska Native and American Indian populations
Adaptability to work in various clinical settings, including field clinics
Working Conditions
Clinic hours: Monday – Friday
Work schedule options: Four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts
No after-hours call for clinic
Work setting:
Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC), a Level II Trauma Center
Travel required for field clinics (six per year)
Additional Information
Competitive annual salary:
Experienced: Base $330,000 + $25,000 for call ($355,000 total)
Annual incentive: $50,000
6.5 weeks paid time off, 2 weeks CME, and 12 holidays per year
