- The position does require occasional travel to multiple sites as part of Infection Control responsibilities, including:
- • San Xavier – approximately 60 miles from Sells Hospital
- • San Simon – approximately 40 miles from Sells Hospital
- • Santa Rosa – approximately 30 miles from Sells Hospital
- Although travel is required, the nurse’s primary office and main work location—about 90% of the time—is Sells Hospital.
- Donna requires a minimum of two site visits per year to each of the locations listed above.
- The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch.
- They need to have a certification in Infection Control as well as their BLS. Not necessarily from CDC.
- Have to be comfortable writing reports and completing assessments at the different facilities. As well as attending any situation regarding Infection Control in Sells hospital and outlying clinics. She does receive calls outside of work regarding situations occasionally.
- Main complaint is having to drive from Tucson, AZ everyday back and forth to the hospital since they do not provide onsite housing. Likes the team that is currently working with her. She is not renewing because the 4x10s that were promised was not accommodated, and the long drive back and forth.
