Job Title: Gastroenterologist

Key Responsibilities
– Manage outpatients in clinic
– Provide consults for adult inpatients
– Perform 15-25 procedures per week
– See 10-14 patients in office per day
– Handle 7-10 inpatient consults per week
Qualifications
– MD or DO degree
– Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
– Valid medical license
Skills and Attributes
– Expertise in gastroenterological procedures and treatments
– Strong patient management skills
– Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
– Cultural sensitivity to work with Alaska Native and American Indian populations
– Adaptability to work in a tertiary referral center
Working Conditions
– Clinic hours: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., Monday – Friday
– Work setting: Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC), a Level II Trauma Center
