
Chief Clinical Officer
With more than 18 years of experience as an Emergency Room and Family Practice Physician Assistant, Brian Gallagher has transformed the performance of multiple emergency departments and family practices, including Sells Indian Health Services, Winnebago Indian Health Services, Pine Ridge Indian Health Services, Rosebud Indian Health Services, and San Carlos Apache Health Care. As Chief Clinical Officer, Brian oversees all physician onboarding, risk assessment, policy and procedure development and implementation, and translates all qualitative and quantitative metrics and workflow analytics into operational insights that improve hospital outcomes. Recognized for his in-depth knowledge and unique perspective on efficiency and performance improvements in medical settings, Brian partners patient-centered models with a personalized approach to each facility.
In his 14 years of family practice experience, Brian has led successful Joint Commission accreditation and CMS certification inspections and quality improvement programs in multiple emergency departments, including adding a second ER to Sells IHS for potentially infectious COVID-19 patients. He’s also developed and implemented policies and procedures such as Care of Acutely Intoxicated Patient in the ED, Care of the Sexual Assault Patient in the ED, Care of the Suicidal Patient (including restraint and observer policy/procedure), COVID-19 Process Map and Transportation Procedures), Monoclonal Antibody Infusion Procedure, and many more.
Brian is a graduate of Saginaw Valley State University with Bachelor of Sciences and Central Michigan University with a Master of Science Physician Assistant. He recently graduated from the Senior Executive Leadership program through the American College of Healthcare Executives.
